A NOTE
Anastasia's killer kept a blog on MySpace, as well as more than one pen-pal scam online, until the Missouri Department of Corrections cracked down and busted him for it. Contrary to what his supporters think, we had little if anything to do with it, as it was a former friend of his who actually sent them the note. The latest lie there that he put on his blog was to tell all his friends how close he and Anastasia were, and how dearly he misses her. This is one of his most poetic whoppers:
That quote about their "friendship" would have been so much more moving if any piece of it had been even somewhat true. Anastasia was frequently a very giving person, this is true, and there were brief periods when she believed Case to be her friend, but the scenario of comraderie and sharing that the killer constructs is simply not true. The scene is an absolute fabrication."There was a night, when I was betrayed and my heart was broken, when she laid my head in her lap as I cried messy, heaving tears. Stroking my hair until I was done and out with them, she then kept watch as I slept with her dampened knees as my pillow and finally awoke brave enough to bear a lack of human contact."A year before his arrest for Anastasia's murder, her killer created a fantasy of the story, placing it 100 years earlier, writing as if he were an observer instead of direct participant, and changing key information and dates; if not physically returning to the actual scene of the crime, he obscenely recreated it in cyber-space to suit his own warped vision.
He killed Anastasia ten years ago. And he continues to kill her even now, by whoring her memory to suit his own purposes. He will continue to kill her until the day he dies himself. He still has no conscience.
